Project Progress - Final

         My final project takes the theme of "Medication and the Body", displaying the side effects of prolonged use. At the beginning of this year, I’ve begun to experience dizziness routinely, even after following through with the suggestions and guidance of my doctor. Recently, such side effects have become more prevalent leading to difficulties with everyday tasks. I’ve decided to take these effects and work them into photography, seen with the photograph’s below. Using long exposure yields the results below. I positioned myself still and proceeded to move to one or two more positions that display the effects accurately. In addition, I experimented with a mirror that is often defined as revealing the truth or showing beyond that. (These were printed as 11x14 inkjet prints that have more darker tones)







        With Photoshop, there are multiple profiles or adjustments that can be made to photograph’s. It is truly amazing but introduces difficulties in making the "final". I’m still impressed and content with the results.

    Hope to see these physically some day! I can totally envision walking around 6ft-tall prints (maybe just a biiit smaller) of the photos in Wriston Gallery :)

      From my last progress update, I’ve made further progress in understanding and working with Adobe Premiere. I managed to create the first scenes of the short video for the project. However, I am struggling to see this project as a video and I am not sure if it is working well. This could be as I work with photography more than film, and it is my first time working with film. Nonetheless, the video is below. (Volume Warning - it should be adjusted properly)     In Baudrillard’s ideas of ethnology and difference, my project reflects these ideas through the connection others man have of my work but with different experiences. Some cultures man have access to medicine or specialists they can pay a visit to for their health concerns, but there are some who don't have access to it. Such ideas man not be necessarily visually addressed in the video. However, I believe the ideas are vaguely present in the video.

Archived Project Progress 1

    My most recent progress was just to record a few scenes and put them together using Adobe Premiere. I’ve never used it before and I was just getting an understanding of it. I created a few scenes using my smartphone, finding myself focusing lighting as what is available to me is limited to indoor lighting and also focusing on the sound of the surrounding area. It proves to be difficult without the proper equipment, especially a microphone, but I believe I can work around this with the help of my Nikon Z6. Below is the short video I created using Adobe Premiere. (Volume Warning - need to work on audio)     This project is the reflection of a basic reality, taking the thoughts and emotions of my everyday life to demonstrate them in a short video for others to see.
